Software-enabled energy infrastructure
ClearSky combines proprietary site-development software with BESS, EV charging, microgrid, and micro data center deployment expertise to evaluate, package, finance, and manage distributed energy assets.
The platform converts raw site data into project-ready site maps, one-line diagrams, interconnection package support, permit-ready exports, and financial analysis — and has already been used to support submitted ComEd BESS site packages.
ClearSky Platform · OMEGA
OMEGA is the AI operating platform ClearSky Energy Solutions built for distributed energy development. It supports site mapping, one-line diagram development, permit package exports, interconnection package support, project economics, and document tracking — in one cloud tool. It's the same platform that produced ClearSky's submitted ComEd BESS site packages.

ClearSky Energy Projects
ClearSky develops and manages a growing portfolio of distributed energy assets — battery storage, EV charging, microgrids, and micro data centers — spread across wholesale market participation, grid injection, data-center offtake, and behind-the-meter value. Each site is evaluated, packaged, and monetized through the OMEGA platform.
ClearSky's Fulton, Illinois site pairs a battery energy storage system with 480 kW of DC fast charging — delivering high-power charging without triggering a costly utility service upgrade. The same battery is enrolled in ComEd's Smart Distributed Virtual Power Plant program and injects into PJM's frequency regulation market, stacking three revenue layers on a single asset.
Storage sites enrolled purely for ComEd Smart Distributed Virtual Power Plant participation — earning capacity and demand-response value by responding to aggregated dispatch signals.
Sites configured to inject directly into PJM wholesale markets, providing sub-second frequency regulation and arbitrage — the highest-value use of fast-responding battery capacity.
Storage-backed sites supplying power directly to co-located compute as the offtaker — turning distributed batteries into the energy backbone for edge and micro data center loads.
Shared and per-unit storage across multifamily / multi-unit dwellings — reducing master-meter demand charges while enrolling the aggregated fleet as a distributed VPP resource.
Resiliency-focused projects deployed on host-owned property under a site-host lease. ClearSky owns and operates the asset, the host gets backup power and lease income, and ClearSky monetizes energy offtake and grid services.
ClearSky's core thesis: co-locate battery storage with distributed compute to build self-contained microgrids that buy energy when it's cheap, serve compute continuously, and sell capacity and regulation back to the grid when it's valuable. Energy arbitrage funds the compute; the compute anchors the load; the grid services stack on top. It's a battery-first model that doesn't depend on solar and turns every site into a dual-purpose energy node and edge data center.
Capabilities
Behind every project is the same end-to-end capability: ClearSky evaluates and develops BESS, EV charging, microgrid, and micro data center opportunities — determining whether a site is viable, financeable, permittable, and capable of generating grid or behind-the-meter value.
Battery Energy Storage
Demand-charge reduction, energy arbitrage, backup power, and grid-services revenue across commercial, industrial, hospitality, and multifamily sites.
EV Charging Infrastructure
BESS-paired DCFC deployments that add charger capacity without triggering costly grid upgrades or transformer replacements.
Microgrids
Resilient, islandable systems that keep critical loads online and coordinate storage, generation, and controllable demand.
Micro Data Centers
Distributed compute nodes co-located with power capacity and storage, powered by energy arbitrage and evaluated for site economics.
VPP / Demand Response
Aggregate distributed assets into wholesale and utility programs for capacity, demand response, and ancillary-service value.
Site Monetization
Turn underused property into revenue through host-lease structures, stacked incentives, and behind-the-meter or grid-facing value.
Compute · Micro Data Centers
ClearSky evaluates properties for micro data center and compute infrastructure opportunities where power capacity, energy storage, resiliency, and site economics can support distributed compute deployment. Our platform helps evaluate site readiness, utility constraints, equipment placement, energy requirements, and project economics.
